Reg Ex with Item Tag

Describe the bug
Unable to use regex on "Item tag", please see screen shot.. When i leave that area blank i can use the item and do do regex but not in the new tag section.

Expected behavior
Ability to use standard regex on item tag

Does it work if item tag field is empty?

Yeah a workaround is just leave item tag blank and do an item regex to graph what i need so not a show stopper or anything just thought id raise the issue.. Also appreciate all the work you put into this plugin it is the only reason i use Grafana.

I think it's the same root cause as for #1283, because the variable is added as a regex. So closing this, fix will be in the upcoming release.
