Variable host group exclusions still showing in problems panel

Describe the bug

Regex filter to exclude certain host groups not working.

The host groups do not display when running the query under the variable tab but show in the problems panel because of additional host group associations

Expected behavior
Host groups excluded in the filter should not display in the problems panel regardless of additional group associations
