migrate merchant services to WorldPay #3288
Comments
When I picked up the pennies today for PyCon (gratipay/inside.gratipay.com#111) I talked with my contact there and asked about merchant services. She took some basic information ($10 avg ticket, 5,000 charges per month) and is going to have a merchant services person call me. |
I would like to state publicly early on that when I opened a Citizens account (gratipay/inside.gratipay.com#149), the rep that was helping me paused on the "Is your business a money transmitter?" screen and was like, "Oh. We might need to actually check 'yes' this time." And her boss who was looking over her shoulder advised us against that because Gratipay uses a third-party (Balanced) to process and escrow payments. I want this out there early in light of #3321. |
See gratipay/inside.gratipay.com#192 for making sure we're not a money transmitter. |
I received a sales call from WorldPay, Citizen's merchant services partner. |

I don't see us going this route now that Braintree has given us a regular merchant account. I called and left a message with our contact. |
