Open Work? ✔

Alright, so, on the one hand, Ca Renters Legal Advocacy and Education Fund (aka SFBARF?) pretty clearly offers open work. From onboarding:

[I]f you are suggesting an idea of something to do, consider actually doing it.

They've also got links to GitHub source on site pages:

Yes! 💃

Brand Fit? ✘

However, I think that Ca Renters Legal Advocacy and Education Fund clashes too strongly with our brand, because of their overly strident tone.

Sue the Suburbs

"Sue!" as an organizing principle strikes me as combative, divisive, and outraged. "Sue!" is not an expression of collaboration and openness to one another. "Sue!" does not indicate thoughtful and thorough discussion and deliberation as means of reconciling wills and making decisions.

This combative tendency seems not to be incidental, but rather to characterize SFBARF, with inflammatory messages on to-do such as "The SF Bay Area Sierra Club chapter has gone rogue" and:

st_housing

Because their brand is so strident and combative, I don't think that Ca Renters Legal Advocacy and Education Fund is a good fit for Gratipay.

I've whitelisted the ~user for a 1.0 payout.

I looked at their website and it seems like they've cleaned up their tone. As a renter in SF, I think this should have been approved. Maybe I'll see about having them resubmit.
