LG OLED G4 supported? #240
Comments
I am having a similiar issue... Not sure if I have the correct config... [08/02/2025, 17:06:08] [homebridge-lgwebos-tv] Device: 192.168.50.203 [LG] webOS TV LJ5500, Power: OFF. TV is on a static IP. TV name is set to the name displayed by the TV. |
Enable debug mode in plugin config and post the whole log after restart. |
Well.. How about that... The plugin has a debug mode. |
Same problem for me on my LG B4 but I don’t find lg Connect apps |
Please enable ssl websocket in plugin config. |
Same issue here can't find LG Connect Apps and in the settings and can't see anywhere to enable SSL websocket in the plugin? |
Advanced Settings>>>Device>>>SSL Web Socket |
Where are LG connect Apps on modern LG TVs? |
Thanks @grzegorz914 I'm now connected, and the Homebridge log gives me: [2/10/2025, 7:37:16 PM] [homebridge-lgwebos-tv] Device: 192.168.1.240 LG TV, Published as external accessory. |
I don't think they are needed any more. When I turned on the websocket SSL option and looked to connect the TV asked if we wanted to turn on remote connection (or so my wife told me, I was in another room. |
I was able to connect also with SSL option enabled. But the names of the inout has not been read. They are not available in HK. Also not if I check that option :( |
You need add the accessory itself, not the bridge. |
Enable debug in plugin config, save, restart and get the log. |
Okay. I did choose to add accessory using the QR code as usual but the only thing added into Home was the bridge nothing else at all. |
Thanks it's now added in okay :) |
A question guys now I've added it in to Apple Home successfully... I started off using the example configuration in Homebridge. I've turned on 'Load Inputs From Device' yet nothing seems to have loaded into the configuration. No buttons are configured etc.
Thanks in advance guys, sorry for all the questions. Thanks in advance for any help offered. |
Enable debug mode in plugin config and get the log, in the Home app you need to have TV accessory with channels/apps |
The log looks like:
The TV shows in Home as per the attached. If I tap & hold on it I see the second image. When I did tap and hold it switched the TV over to running Plex (my wife was not happy LOL). So is this how it should be, one button with tap / hold options? Do you need more information, or more logging data? Thanks as always. |
This is correct, to switch channels/app just use the wheel. You don’t need tap and hold, just tap bottom right on the tile to open the wheel. To control Mute/Volume just use built in RC app. |
Right I'm with it now. I guess it's not an easy matter to identify button / control options and remove them from the system? |
Hello, does this plugin support LG OLED G4?
Cause I configured everything, but don't see my TV in HomeKit.
