For tif input no output figures generated

For certain tif input files (ask for them!), an error message appears after SOM and k-means computations and no results are visualized, no figures are generated in the filesystem.

Two sets of tifs tested as input: ones with sizes 50Mb each tif and one with size of 1 Mb each. The smaller set represents a subregion of the bigger one.
