Facial recognition door lock

Security of the cloud?
How secure can the api be when considering the implementation of it, like what if there are drastic changes into the face?
If someone can hack into it what are the measures when it happens like what if you can't disable domestically?
Is there any extra other way that you can add people into the cloud registry/data?

It's a good idea and we like how you guys have thought this out. Maybe there could be things to add to whitelist or block people out as well in that it could send a special message/signal back to yourselves. If your camera breaks, there should be a way to let yourselves in as well and it seems like you guys thought about it.

• Connection to cloud API is encrypted so images can't be stolen wirelessly
• RasPi is on the inside of the house so it can't be tampered with by someone who isn't in the house already
• Facial recognition model may not be super secure (this assumption is OK because this class isn't about making a highly accurate facial recognition model)

Ideas from the Star Squad

• System shouldn't save images after it is already trained -- this could be a privacy issue of tracking who leaves and when
• App should be protected somehow so that someone can't just use it to add themselves to the house or gain access to the house
• Make the app control more? Use it to scan a one-time QR code to request access from the house owner? Credit to Gabe for that one
• Is there a way to actively train the facial recognition model to make it better while at the same time not saving every single picture (for example, base result off the last 3 pictures)?
