Maybe should we have an email + Slack notification if the DNS records are misconfigured (e.g. missing _nest-challenge TXT records, behind CF/Fastily proxy without no-HTTPS redirect overrides for /.well-known/acme-challenges/*) and the back off by 2-5 minutes before trying account. I am also proposing limiting the automated checks up to 3 to avoid clogging up failed cert orders for Let's Encrypt and requiring manual user intervention when failed 3 times in a row.
