311Data: Open Role for: UX Content Writer

Project Name: 311 Data

About: The 311 Data project seeks to empower local Neighborhood Councils to improve the ideation and analysis of their initiatives using the wealth of publicly available 311 data.

Volunteer Opportunity: We are looking for a UX Content Writer to help us complete the "Story of 311", a brief history of the project's milestones, challenges, and achievements. We will use "Story of 311" as part of our outreach efforts to collaborate with other data-savvy organizations in Los Angeles. In this role, you will:

• review the history of the project, as organized by Bonnie and the product team
• draft and publish "Story of 311", to be distributed to key stakeholders and potential partners
• work with our UXUI team to build our About Page, which will contain excerpts from "Story of 311"

Duration: 2 - 3 months to help us complete materials outlined above. An on-going role will be considered depending on our product roadmap post-launch.

Meeting Times:
Please be available for the following meetings:

• 311 Data General: Wed 7:00pm - 8:00pm PT (excluding 1st Wed of the month)
• 311 Data Product Planning: Wed 7:00pm - 8:00pm PT (1st Wed of the month)

Be able to make time as requested for the following meetings:

• 311 Data PM: Thurs 7:00pm - 8:00pm PT (occurs every week)
  • OR schedule check-in with PMs as available (once every week, especially first month)
