Overview

In order to prevent time during the workshop to be used to teach people about the 311 data request types, we will aim to create a one pager that we can send as pre-work or as a handy file that we can add to the site.

Additional Information

This will live on the github wiki.

Action Items

  • Create a one pager based on slides 8 here , page 1 here and any other online resources
  • Review, edit and format for final audience

one-pager here (on page 3) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-WzGxAbqRENZByrrPepChhGxBRAkmNF5YbpTwyd6Oi8/edit#

please comment any feedback - otherwise
initial thoughts are that a 2 page document could be more cohesive + compelling

discussed - how the objective of this one-pager will be establishing the distinction between:

  • where to make a service request
  • where to find the dataset for 311
  • HackforLA API
  • where to go to visualize a subset of requests
moving through how these levels interact with each other

updated the doc to address points (1) and (2) commented above - here

not sure that it's cohesive + sufficiently succinct to also include points 3 + 4 - could potentially make a separate one page for them (?)
