Installing Face Recognition Liberary

Step 1 – Run the below command in terminal, one command at a time

sudo apt-get install cmake libopenblas-dev liblapack-dev libjpeg-dev

git clone https://github.com/JetsonHacksNano/installSwapfile

./installSwapfile/installSwapfile.sh



Step 2 – Reboot the system by running the command – sudo reboot now, after the reboot, run the following command to install few more packages. Run one command at a time.

wget http://dlib.net/files/dlib-19.17.tar.bz2

tar jxvf dlib-19.17.tar.bz2

cd dlib-19.17

ls

cd dlib

ls

cd cuda

ls

gedit cudnn_dlibapi.cpp


Step 3 – After running the last command from above “gedit cudnn_dlibapl.cpp a text editor will open up.


Step 4 – In the text editor, click “Search” and find the code line “forward_algo = forward_best_algo;”

Go to the code line and comment out by adding // at the begening of the code line like this “//forward_algo = forward_best_algo;”

Click on “Save” button on the text editor and close the window



Step 5 – Go the command line under dlib-19.19dlib/cuda and run the below command

cd cuda

ls

cd ..

ls

cd ..

sudo python3 setup.py install

After running the last command from above step-5, it will take about 30-45 minutes to install the entire package, DO NOT  close the terminal, wait till completion.


Step 6 – Installing Face Recognition Package, run the below command under  ~/dlib-19.17$ 

sudo pip3 install face_recognition
