how to support https?

and what to tell people in the spec

Note: free certificates are available if you want to have a legitimate https server

This is not an issue that should be addressed in the spec. It could be in a separate document. I have added a ticket to hapi-server/server-nodejs#2 to consider adding HTTPS support.
