I have this issue on a fresh Fedora 36 installation using Gnome 42 as well as on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 22.04. So far, all QT applications I tested are affected: Okular, QOwnNotes, QT Creator, QT5-Config.

Starting the X11 session resolves the problem.
