Preset the selected task in widget? #39
Comments
There isn’t a method of selecting the task at the moment, but thanks for letting us know it’s something you’re looking for! |
Thanks - any chance it's anywhere on the road map? |
We don’t generally publicly comment on what we’re working on, as we find that it’s very disappointing to our customers when our plans change (and much like other plans in life, our plans always change to some degree!). I can say that it’s something we’ve considered, though! |
hi - Just wanted to see if this has been considered any more? We keep running into issues trying to track our time with harvest due to the in-ability to preset the task, right now the only work around is to create a ton of different projects which are really tasks. |
Would really love to see pre-selected task added as a feature! |
@adunkman Checking in on this, would love to have the ability to preset the task and omit the popup entirely. With name, project and task set, the icon could just change color for on/off tracking with no additional steps needed! |
Hey @adunkman - I would also upvote this! This would be a great feature to have and should hopefully be very simple to implement as it's already doing it for Project selection. Thank you! |
I no longer work at Harvest, so I’d suggest reaching out to support: https://www.getharvest.com/contact |
Would @evanwalsh be able to help on the matter? Because that coule be really useful to have such a feature. Thank you! |
@jacquesbh Sorry, I'm no longer part of the team that works on this, so I can only recommend getting in contact via the above link and letting our experts know about your interest in this feature. |
Oh ok. You github profile says otherwise ;) |
Is there anything like the default_project_code/name variable but for the actual task? We're trying to integrate this into our ticketing system and the tickets come across with the task they fall under so we want to set the task to default to the tickets task.
Is there anyway to do this currently?
