Description

We have a data source that lists all OUs but it would be nice to query 1 OU instead of requiring post processing of a large payload

Current Workaround

This is currently possible using for loops but is less clean:

data "aws_organizations_organization" "org" {}

data "aws_organizations_organizational_units" "ou" {
  parent_id = data.aws_organizations_organization.org.roots[0].id
}

output "name" {
  value = one([ for i, v in data.aws_organizations_organizational_units.ou.children[*] : v.arn if v.name == "dev" ])
}
