Hi,

Vault's 1.9 release is going to have support for username templating for AWS Secrets Engine as well (both IAM and STS) (in PR here: hashicorp/vault#12185) - and it'd be great (and quite necessary - as Vault configuration should exist as code! :) ) to have support for this soon after it's launched.

Vault's Database Secrets Backend got support for this in here: #1103 - just as a reference - which was awesome.
