Currently the version used in the dev environment and used for building the binary is the one packaged in quay.io/deis/go-dev:0.17.0

Which is go1.7rc6 linux/amd64

We should upgrade it and keep an eye on this issue #218 since it seems that 1.7.1 might fix it golang/go#16208

@jackfrancis what's the tag you guys are using for go 1.8 from here? https://quay.io/repository/deis/go-dev?tag=latest&tab=tags
