Can’t ‘reset’ homekit2mqtt to get HomeKit to re-add bridge #141

I installed, configured, and added this bridge successfully to the Home app, but removed it during subsequent testing.

When I attempt to add in the Home app again (via the QR code), I get an error:

Accessory already added
To add this accessory to your home, you’ll need
To reset it first.

I have tried restarting the service, the server, my AppleTV, and my router but I still get the error.

When I restart the service, I’ve changed the pincode, bridgename, and port options, but HomeKit is insistent that it needs a restart.

Is there a way to force the app to appear as a distinctly new device/accessory?

Try to delete persist folder, under your username. There are AccessoryInfo***.json files inside of that folder.
P.s it looks like, developer doesn't work on this project anymore.

Thanks - that was it, I was unaware of this directory. Cheers!
