The problem

Many people including myself have replaced the original Idasen Desk controller with the upgraded Linak DPG1C controller.

There is an issue when using it with the idasen_desk integration though. After a number of hours, moving the desk no longer works, only the current height continues to show. Usually this can be fixed temporarily by disconnecting the controller from HA bluetooth, connecting it to the phone app, moving the desk using the app to "wake it up again" and then disconnecting and reconnecting to HA.

This has recently been fixed in version 2.1.0 of the rhyst/linak-controller project in rhyst/linak-controller#32

Could the same fix be added to the HA idasen_desk integration so that it also supports the DPG1C controller please?

Hey there @abmantis, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (idasen_desk) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

This would have to be supported by the underlying library: https://github.com/newAM/idasen
You can try requesting this feature there. I'm currently not able to look into the required changes, but maybe the library author or someone else would be.

Ok thanks, I've submitted issue 369 there where I hope someone can help.
I would have thought it's promising considering that the newAM/idasen project was orginally forked from the rhyst/linak-controller project where this was already recently fixed.
