Checklist

  • I have updated to the latest available Home Assistant version.
  • I have cleared the cache of my browser.
  • I have tried a different browser to see if it is related to my browser.
  • I have tried reproducing the issue in safe mode to rule out problems with unsupported custom resources.

Describe the issue you are experiencing

For the Media player domain there are currently two "Play media" actions available:

The first, defined in the frontend, is shown topmost in the list and provides the media browser for selecting what to play:

The second, defined in Core for the Media player integration shows up further down in the list and needs a Content ID to specify the media to play:

Describe the behavior you expected

Here some different naming is needed unless the latter will be deprecated soon.

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

2024.12.1
