Search functionality in "Media" tab

Hi friends,

I recently stumbled upon the "Radio Browser" in the "Media Sources" tab and really, really liked listening to radio from other countries. The only thing I was missing was being able to search through Radio stations or countries. After some research, it seems that there is neither a search functionality for ios nor android in the "Media Sources" tab.

I would love to understand why the search has not been implemented yet and if its possible and desired to implement it.

I am a mid-level software engineer with experience in Python, TS/JS, Go and Kotlin. I am new to Swift and mobile app dev though. I'd be happy to discuss if this is a feasible project for me to break into contributing in Home Assistant!

How would my ideal search function look like?
Ideally when pulling down on the screen, a search bar would appear below the header, where one can (fuzzy) search the folder one is currently in.
