While experimenting with assist in the latest release I've been quite excited with the possibilities, while also sober to the challenges that remain.

An issue that I have been experiencing is variants of spelling of names. If I say turn on Benjy's lamp, the speech to text outputs turn on Benji's lamp which doesn't match an entity name and fails. I could add an alias for that one device, but there's many of devices with the same problem.

One possibility would be a list of global Aliases, essentially a search and replace for any device/area which is run on every request.

I saw a hint in the release video that you are planning to train the matcher to bias towards existing device names. If that's the case, this would likely 90% solve this issue. However, the option to have global search and replace would be helpful for other cases such as Living Room === Front Room, as my wife and I use different terms for the same room.
