What happened?

Installation of homeassistant-supervised.deb is missing ip command
I'm using a very basic Debian 12 image
iproute2 should be added to the apt install command in README

Actually, the iproute2 package has important priority (see https://deb.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/iproute2/iproute2_6.1.0-3.dsc). This means the package is by default on a regular Debian 12 installation. It seems that your Debian is not a vanilla Debian installation.

That said, we can still add it to the dependencies. Essential packages do not need to be a dependency according to the Debian Policy documentation:

Packages are not required to declare any dependencies they have on other packages which are marked Essential (see below), and should not do so unless they depend on a particular version of that package.

iproute2 has the important priority but it is not declared essential.

Thank you. I am using real Debian, but an image from here: https://sd-card-images.johang.se/ (I guess they are quite popular and available for many SBCs)
