The hub looks almost impossible to use to me right now for normal people: no search for gene names, no chromosome names, see the user who just emailed in and asked how he can even find chr16. There doesn't seem to be a single description page, so we can't add these as native assemblies.
On HG002.1 and probably most others, I can't find any alignment with hg38... that's strange. I thought people primarily care about the hg38/HPRC alignments...
