I have problems understanding the information in the hyphenation patterns that follows the slash.
I take it that they are the replacement pattern followed by the starting position and the length of the string to remove from the original word. The position seems to start counting with 1
But that seems to not fit with the following 2 patterns taken from conv.pat out of the test directory
kakas3szon/sz=sz,5,3
in this pattern the description fits, you end up at the s of kakas, remove ssz and insert sz-sz. I end up with kakasz=szon. But that doesn't fit with the followind pattern
kakas7szondan/sz=sz,6,3
you'd end up behind the s of kakas and then you'd remove szo and end up with kakassz=szndan instead of kakasz=szondan
So what is the difference between those 2 patterns? What am I missing?
Thanks
