I don't know anything about Arch, but I would tend to think you should call it |

If anyone here is an Arch user, I created an AUR package for Hyrule today: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hy-hyrule
Given that a lot of useful functionality was moved from Hy to Hyrule, I think this should make it easier for people to get started with Hy on Arch-based systems. Normally I'd suggest using Pipx or a Venv anyway (
pipx install hy && pipx inject hy hyrule
). But this should make it possible to package Hy programs that use Hyrule, and sometimes it's more convenient to install things with your system package manager if you're exploring something for the first time.I took the liberty of using the name
hy-hyrule
instead ofpython-hyrule
to emphasize that this is meant for the Hy programming language. I know it's just a Python module and therefore is usable from Python without Hy, but it doesn't seem particularly useful in that context. However, this might violate AUR guidelines for Python packages, so I might have to change it if someone complains.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
