This is a bug only in Chrome, Edge but still works fine in Firefox. Normally you can click the button or the area outside of the sidebar to hide it

Hello, the change to what happens when you click outside the sidebar is not a bug. It is part of a new feature called "side-by-side" where the sidebar will show alongside the content instead of overlapping it, resizing the content as needed. Clicking the button on the edge of the sidebar to open/close it should still work as before. We have had this behavior for PDFs and ebooks for a long time, and recently enabled it for web pages.

Side-by-side is only enabled for web pages when the client is able to determine the "main" content, is able to resize it, and when there is enough room to fit the sidebar alongside the content. If the behavior is disabled, everything works as before.

If you encounter cases where the new behavior is problematic, please include a link to the web page.
