After startup, the only window on the workspace will not be focused when workspace is focused

I have a weird, mildly annoying issue:

I have firefox set to run on startup (exec-once = "firefox") and to appear on specific workspace (windowrule = workspace 5 silent, firefox). This works, but the problem is that, after starting, Firefox does not have a focus, even though workspace has a focus (It has inactive_border color, but waybar shows workspace as selected). Even switching to another workspace and then back with a keyboard does not help. I have to actually use a mouse and click in the window to get it to focus.

Any idea what could cause this? Thanks

Is this happening since 0.43? I think I have the same or similar issue after update

No, it has been happening since at least 0.42 (at which point I started uing it, so Im not sure for older versions)
