i18next.on is no more

updating to newer versions of i18next, it breaks, only because i18next newer versions don't have .on.

I know that this package isn't maintained, but a tiny addition would give this more life.

Guess root cause is newer versions of i18next return a Promise on init not "this" anymore...

But that is just what changed on i18next side - hopefully someone will catch this up - but honestly I got no idea who took ownership of this module...might be dead.
