Brief description of what the software does. What biological analyses does it perform? Is it platform-specific?
SLiM is a forward genetic simulation framework, used to create genetically explicit individual-based evolutionary simulations. It is scriptable, and can simulate a broad variety of evolutionary scenarios. It is cross-platform at the command line, and also has an interactive GUI modeling environment on macOS. For more information, please see https://messerlab.org/slim/.

I've been tweeting small adverts for the Software Bazaar in the lead-up to the Evolution meetings. Both to draw interest from potential users to come visit, but also to encourage more software folks to file their issues early. Every year, almost all the participants open issues to present the week before the meeting, which is a bit to handle ;)
If you'd be OK with me tweeting a link to your software's website from the iEvoBio account, maybe a logo if you have one, let me know. It's totally optional.
That sounds great! It'd be lovely to get the extra publicity. The site you ought to link to is the SLiM home page. About halfway down that page there's a section titled "The SLiM icon" that provides the logo to use, in various formats. You can also, if you wish, mention that those who visit me at the Software Bazaar can get a free SLiM sticker for their laptop. :-> Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
