Cant use C- space as a bind key in Macbook

Thank you for your article on the TMUX. It has helped in understanding the and installing tmux.
I have been shamelessly using your tmux.conf. However I have noticed that I can't seem to use C-space a bind key in my MacBook with wezterm terminal.

This however works on my windows terminal on WSL in Windows
Is there some additionally config I need to do in the tmux config

Also another thing I have noticed that when though my wezterm terminal is configured to open in fish shell as a default but when I use tmux it opens in the default zsh shell of the mac. Is there any configuration I can do to make this happe
