It is possible to extend the runtime of active slurm jobs using scontrol. see: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28413418/adding-time-to-a-running-slurm-job This could be useful for instance when running a batch job and you are notified that time is running out, giving the option to extend would be nice :)
