Home Assistant on Synology NAS

1 - Prerequisites

Before starting the installation processes, ensure your NAS is prepared by following these instructions.

1.1 - Enable User Homes

Login to Synology DSM using an account in the admin group.

Go to Control Panel > User > Advanced and Enable User Home Service

1.2 - Enable SSH

SSH is used to access the NAS from a PC.

Go to Control Panel >> Terminal & SNMP and check Enable SSH Service
