With a recent upgrade in the ImJoy app, it seems that installing native python plugins from a link (e.g. https://imjoy.io/#/app?w=fq-main&plugin=fish-quant/fq-imjoy:FISH-QUANT@stable&upgrade=1) is not possible for me.

  1. when trying to install such a plugin, I get the error message (Plugin engine not found for plugin type=native-python.).
  2. then I connect the imjoy app that's current open in the tab to the engine (and it shows up in the little menu on the right).
  3. when I then click on the install button again, the a new tab opens and the same error occurred.

in essence, using the link to install a Python plugin is not working on my machine. the only way to do it is to use the app where the engine is connected & install it with the "add plugins" .

side-note. the engine is also not remembered as you can tell from point 2 above; but the engines show up in the local storage (https://lib.imjoy.io >> jupyter_servers)

Maybe related to #469 ?
