Instead of manually editing the markdown, I think it might be fun and worthwhile to make a script that uses the INSPIRE API to prepare the markdown and updated bibtex file. I would think that a simple text file with arXiv IDs (or inspire IDs) for input would be sufficient. Then it could iterate through this list and get authors, titles, publication info and bibtex entries.
