I so LOVE this powerful bookmark management tool for Firefox!
If I had any available money, I'd be pleased to give it to you in support of this project and any others you're working on. Unfortunately, my disability pension has put an end to my charitable financial contributions many years ago.
Now to the point. There are a couple of additions to this project that I would like to put forward for your team's consideration. Both of them concern the appearance and formatting of bookmarks.
The first addition would be what I would describe as a 'nesting tool', whereby related bookmarks could be organized in a hierarchy that suited the user.
An example: Under the heading of Spirituality in my bookmarks, I have several sub-folders regarding some of the wide variety of spiritual practices I am interested in. Then within some of those sub-folders there are additional folders which focus on a particular aspect of the spiritual practice. While this is entirely adequate and satisfactory, I think it could be improved upon, by allowing the user to indent, or by using one of the excellent, open source rich text editors currently available, somehow distinguish one section of bookmarks from another.
The second addition I would like to suggest is the incorporation of an open-source, rich text editor to allow the end user to potentially add some additional customization to their bookmarks.
Of course, I may be showing my ignorance as I am largely lacking in knowledge about the practical ins-and-outs of coding as well as the limitations imposed by the Firefox platform itself. Still, I was motivated to commend all of you for your dedication both to this project and to the excellence it demonstrates, and while doing so make these suggestions to you.
If there are any questions about what I am proposing, or if I may be of any service to your team, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will give you my very best effort.
