ion-select sets its bound model to an empty object when there are no ion-options #10435

Current behavior:
If I open a select with no ion-options and then click 'OK', the bound model's value becomes {}.

Expected behavior:
I expect the bound model's value to become null or undefined.

Ionic info: (run ionic info from a terminal/cmd prompt and paste output below):

Ionic Framework Version: 2.0.0
Ionic CLI Version: 2.2.1
Ionic App Lib Version: 2.2.0
