Subject of keychain has come up at core implementations meeting. It appears that IPFS implementations have custom keychain implementation for historical reasons and it might be worth exploring if native OS keychains colud be used instead.

Even if some systems do not provide necessary API for keychain access it still might be worth using them on systems that have it and fallback to the custom implementation on systems that do not.
