That is the url that was given to me after I uploaded that image, but when using that url in markdown, it is broken. The absolute path is here, and this is what should be given (IMO) to the user:

I don't mind that people use hotlinking a little bit on our pictures, but I would much prefer that people use the link with our UI/branding/ads.

Although you are right that an embed code in markdown and not only in HTML could be useful.

When a user uploads the picture we could put another text box that would contain the markdown, but as @cloutier said, it's important to us that the link we put stays.

Thanx guys. That wasn't my idea actually, I saw it on imgur.com when I uploaded there. They give you a bunch of options for embed, direct link, markdown and so on. Have you guys thought about doing a chrome/ff/tor extension? You could put the ad in there. You could even give people a script for hotlinking an image in markdown that would show "Image hosted, courtesy IPFS.pics" or something like that in the image alt text, status bar and so on.
