This issue really is something to worry about. I already had a prototype board come in with all diodes assembled in the wrong direction. This makes the reference marker option in draftsman useless for example.
It would be awesome if we could have a secondary library with all diodes in conformance with IPC. Thanging the currently used components should be considered to risky as one could have inconsistent data when only updating the footprints form the library.
Please give this issue a look. I think it is really important and it is a big reason not to use this library for production data.
I had huge problems with my EMS company.
according IPC Pin 1 is Cathode , every time!
But this library hast Pin 1 as Anode.
This will make lot of trouble with the manufacturers.
