Background

As a result of the recent removal of the CV option, it came to light that some teams were using other assessment options that did not take advantage of the self-extraction and word count facility. For many of the options, the content is actually the same, only the name of the document differs, which can be edited in the download section when uploaded to the platform anyway. The Ops manual will need to be updated to remind the Admins that they need to amend the name of the document when they upload it to the platform in order to reflect the framework being used.

User Story

As an Admin, I would like to be able to take advantage of the self-extraction/word count facility irrespective of my exercise type so that the platform can automate the task and then feed the content directly to the panel packs.

Benefit(s) to user (if not already clear from User story)

Feature(s) Description

  • Change title of Self Assessment with competencies to Candidate Assessment with competencies/skills and abilities

  • Remove the two options underlined below for all current draft and all future exercises

image.png

  • Confirm there are no implications to live exercises using either of the two options to be removed
  • Clarify what is copied across to the panel packs in terms of the section title, i.e. will it always be Candidate Assessment with competencies/skills and abilities or could it be customised to the title of the uploaded document?

Acceptance Criteria

It's done when the defunct options are removed from the assessment page and the name of the first item is updated as specified.

Definition of Done

  • User stories/acceptance criteria met
  • Internal reviews passed (feedback actioned)
  • User testing passed
  • Relevant technical documentation updated
  • User guidance updated
  • Deployed and merged without errors

User Testing Steps

Specify for users what is being tested (but not how to test it.)

Hi @nickaddy - it seems as though the removal of options on this page (statement of suitability options) will mean that these pages need to be updated or changed on apply. Is this assumption correct?
Would these pages follow the same flow as the self assessment doc extraction?

@tomlovesgithub I assume there would be some tweaks on Apply to join up the dots here. The idea is that we get rid of some of the options so that we don't have to replicate the extraction for other documents.
