First, let me say awesome project and work :-) I'm delighted to find someone else doing datasets this way!

I wanted to make a couple suggestions - feel free to ignore!

thanks for the kind words and advice!
that's a nice little template for me to follow to make sure its done and proper.
i'm very interested in contributing everything that i've collected.
i've also got hrva-data, chesapeake-bay-data, va-data, and world-data

That's great! I've made you an owner on https://github.com/datasets so you can start contributing material / repos if you want :-)

My approach has been one repo per dataset with standard suffixes or prefixes (usually {topic}-{2-digit-country} e.g. gdp-us etc, but if you prefer more than one dataset per repo that's fine.

There's a registry repo https://github.com/datasets/registry/issues for discussing meta stuff as well as new datasets that might be worth adding ...

@jalbertbowden there's now a basic tutorial on publishing at http://data.okfn.org/publish

This is focused on tabular but geo one should be coming soon - see frictionlessdata/frictionlessdata.io#90 (if you have any thoughts or advice here on best approach for geo data let me know)
