caching steps in a pipeline #21

Hi,

Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask but what is best practice to implement caching in a pipeline. I'm using a slightly modified version of the rust pipeline. It works but is extremely slow. I am trying to add https://github.com/mozilla/sccache however each time the pipeline runs its reinstalling rust and sccache which defeats the purpose of using sccache.

I've read the docs on pod templates and added an issue to do with that. jenkins-x/jenkins-x-platform#6726
