I may be alone in this, but I find that there are too many settings with not very clear names, so it's extremely difficult to figure out how to disable/enable certain features.

For instance, I for the life of me cannot figure out how to disable the git blame annotations that appear throughout a file (without any hovering). E.g. "Your name, 5 days ago"
