Help get VS Code sidebar visibility API added (lazygit-vscode users)

Hey lazygit community! 👋

I maintain https://github.com/tom-pollak/lazygit-vscode, an extension that integrates lazygit into VS Code.

One of the most requested features is the ability to maximize lazygit when toggled and restore the editor state when closed. Unfortunately, VS Code doesn't expose an API to detect sidebar/panel visibility, which causes https://github.com/tom-pollak/lazygit-vscode#sidebar-showhide-inconsistencies.

I've opened a feature request with the VS Code team:
microsoft/vscode#283331

If you use lazygit-vscode and have run into this issue, please consider upvoting (👍 reaction on the issue) to help get it prioritized. The issue needs 20 upvotes within 60 days to make it to their backlog.
