Here's a feature request: what about integrating with changelogs, so that you can see a list of recent changes before accepting or rejecting an upgrade?

If this sounds like a good idea, I may spend some time trying to write it.

Might be a good idea but only if the user enables that (--changelog) or something else.

This has been on my list of things to do when I get round to it for a while now.

I recently discovered Snyk, which lets you run snyk test and will print out any vulnerabilities that are in any of your dependencies. This fulfils one of the needs I had from wanting to see changelogs. The other need is to be able to catch breaking changes, and that need is still unfulfilled, so I still want to build this!
