Hi. Useful script. I have a few enhancement suggestions/requests.

set the default resolution to load the video
option to stop downloading cache after a certain amount of file size or seconds
write the cached video to a A/V file

You can do it via --ytdl-format

option to stop downloading cache after a certain amount of file size or seconds

I think this request should be made to the mpv project. It's beyond the scope of this plugin.
