i absolutely love insporation, it makes my d* usage way more usable easy and fun on my quiet old Smartphone (s3) and i am finally able to share pictures!! from - the share menu. - so hudge thanks. <3
Since there is an API and a App now, i also have hopes for offline support on creating new posts. - I use my phone "off the grid" and and i usually don't have internet access when i want to share something. - so i tend to note it in a note app and then never do the the work of actually publishing it.
So if it would be possible to create new posts offline, and publish them once you are online again. would be absolutely great.!
I used wordpress like that a very long time ago, and there it would have kept the date and time from when i wrote the post. - i can imagine this would not be able in in the fediverse - since you may not be able to set the publishing date manually. - but one could include a timestamp in the post itself..
And this feature could (as a funny sidenote) also kind of "pre-implement" an edit function for posts, as long as they aren't published.
I have no idea if that is in your scope of the Project, but i wanted to give a strong pitch for the idea :)

You wrote "I tend to note it in a note app". I remember that insporation has the support to share from different Apps - so can you check if your note app supports sharing? Insporation might appear in the list of sharing targets. If so - will it do the job?
@tclaus thanks for the tip. - for some weird reason it then gets attached as a picture..
but also if not i would still have to
note it in the first place
remember later to post it
share the post from the note app to insporation edit aspects etc and post it
delete the not in the note app
so quiet far away from being convenient enough to actually use it that way.
I Imagine
you will be able to create a new post in insporation or share something to insporation that creates a new post even when you're offline.
you'll be able to choose your aspects from cache, and set all the settings possible ( including polls etc)
and than instead of posting it you will just "post it to queue"
next time you are online the posts in the queue either gets posted automatically.
or you can list your queue and post individual posts from it and also all of them with one button.
if you list the queue you should also be able to edit/delete the posts.
i further could imagine that you can choose time and date when it should be posted. (so it will only get automatically posted if that point in time is overdue)
