Cronicle couldn't be started after install

Heyah!
After a long time I need something like Cronicle and am installing it on a raspberry pi. I installed Node and then Cronicle using the auto installer as root seemingly without issues.
Confusingly it fails with Error: Cannot find module 'pixl-server'.
I did check node_modules and it's there, so I suspect there is something more fundamentally wrong, but I'm not sure where to start looking.
