Since upstream looks dead I'll start to maintain a forked version of helm-secrets.

Issues to be fixed here:

• Decrypt secrets in a temporary folder zendesk/helm-secrets#151 (Optionally decrypt helm secrets in a temporary directory #5)

Issues and pull requests covered by: #1

• Support secrets[._-]*.yaml zendesk/helm-secrets#128 (name of secret more relaxed)
• Install SOPS without root zendesk/helm-secrets#141 (name of secret more relaxed)
• Removing verbose deletion as it breaks helm template functions. zendesk/helm-secrets#149
• Fix tab zendesk/helm-secrets#150
• Support more file name and output what is decrypted zendesk/helm-secrets#129 (All name restrictions dropped)
• add support for helm-kubeval zendesk/helm-secrets#143
• Install SOPS without root zendesk/helm-secrets#142 (dpkg variant dropped; you should never run helm plugin install as root)
• Fix template command to not print list of deleted files zendesk/helm-secrets#136 (verbose output is not on stderr)

I am wondering: why is the upstream designated "deprecated"? Did Zendesk not want to allocate resources to maintaining the project, or is it actually deprecated in the sense that there is some new, better way to manage secrets with Helm?

I guess thats the reason, because they didn't use helm-secrets anymore.
